About the Program

High School students who are passionate about combating climate change, hunger and biodiversity loss have an extraordinary opportunity to grow and harvest local and organic produce this summer. The food is then donated to food insecure neighbors via a local food pantry. See program announcement for more details.

The program was launched in 2020 by ReWild Long Island, Plant a Row for the Hungry, The Mosaic Foundation for Autism and Growing Love Community Garden. It is supported by Summer Together: A program of Long Island Together , Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society and by PW Green.

We are honored to have the following interns and volunteers join the 2021 Summer Program to Fight Hunger and Climate Change.
